“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.” ~Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac

"CAFOs are only profitable because so much of the cost and damage is externalized onto the environment, neighbors and wildlife. The monitoring, supervision, clean-up, restitution, fines are not happening, thus the true cost of CAFOs never find the way onto the balance books." Talking point from the CAFO Conference.

“A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise.”
~Aldo Leopold, 1948. A Sand County Almanac.

Crawford Stewardship Project Supporters Gathering

Thursday, May 5, 7:00-9:00
Gays Mills Community Building

You are invited to join the CSP Board and Staff for an evening to offer your suggestions for
Crawford Stewardship Project

    • CSP update and powerpoint report: A bit of history, a bit of what we are up to now, a bit of understanding the depth of the struggle, and a bit of humor and solidarity to keep us going.

    • Discussion of CSP projects and goals: The board and staff need your ideas on what you think we are doing well and what we could do better. Both the practical and far-flung are encouraged.

    • Discussion of Volunteer Opportunities: Many hands lighten the load. No burn outs needed!

    • Informal visit time with other supporters while enjoying local food snacks and other treats.

We would be most pleased to have you join us for the evening.
